Red woolly days
It is December and the scramble for Christmas and all things red have left me hoarding my stash of red wool. I am not hooking things red, just hiding this precious wool, that mostly came from an old coat I found in my mother's closet. It is a time to remember was is precious and keep it close to our hearts.
So to all who celebrate this season, merry merry and all the best in wool and all things fibre in 2012.

On Wednesday, June 15, 2011, Donna Hutchinson of the Gulf Shore hosted an opening reception for her hooked rug show called, "Coastal Villages" at Whirligigs Cafe in Wallace. Over fifty friends, family, fellow hookers, and patrons attended this very successful art show opening. Donna, while hooking with the Remsheg Hookers for the past six years, designs her own mats and uses redyed, recycled wools in all her works. She finds living by the ocean is an inspiration every day as she loves beach combing, wharfs, boats, and watching the changing mood of the sea. Her show will hang until the end of July at Whirligigs.

Come to the Whirligigs Cafe in Wallace to see my Coastal Villages rug show. They'll be on display for the months of June and July. The cafe is open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. starting June 7th.
